Event Announcement: Sept. 17 - Peter Goin, "Re-Visiting Tahoe: Then & Now, A Visual History"

The Redd Center will kick off its Fall Lecture Series on September 17 with Peter Goin's stunning work with rephotography and Lake Tahoe. This presentation promises to be both visual and intellectually stimulating. The lecture is open to the public and will be live webcast here at the Redd Center's YouTube Channel. Lecture Abstract: This visual presentation compares historical photographs of Lake Tahoe – from the 19th century through the mid-twentieth century – with the artist’s comparative view of the same location.  Blending history from the black & white past to the color present, time, photography, and landscape change in remarkable ways.  The artist and professor Peter Goin will be presenting a lively visual discussion of history reconsidered.
