Event Announcement - Leisl Childers: Making Sense of Mustangs and Mushroom Clouds

Friday, November 13, 2015

On November 19 at 11:00 (MST) the Redd Center will hold the 6th event in its Fall Lecture Series with Prof. Leisl Childers. Prof. Childers is an Asst. Professor of History at the University of Northern Iowa and author of the recently published The Size of Risk: Histories of Multiple Use in the Great Basin. Her presentation, "Making Sense of Mustangs and Mushroom Clouds" will explore the tensions of public land management as ranchers, federal officials, outdoors recreationists and wild horse advocates clashed in the Great Basin. The lecture is open to the public and, barring some of the technical problems we have had, will be live webcast here at the Redd Center's YouTube Channel. Please attend (or watch) and spread the word to anyone you know who may be interested.
